I love jazz because it gives me the freedom to explore my creativity. I was first exposed to jazz at an early age, though didn't fall in love until grade school from playing it. I met Bernie Dresel and had the opportunity to study a couple times with him. Unfortunately that came to an end. Would love to continue his lessons someday. Also Herb Jefferies, Gordon Goodwin. The first jazz record I bought was "Keeping the Customer Satisfied" Buddy Rich My advice to new listeners is to give it time to sink in.
