Scott Lichtman
Jazz/fusion keyboardist & autograph collector in Stamford CT.
About Me
I enjoy playing jazz piano and keyboards - usually in cool, modal, standards, fusion, jazz+pop
cover genres - and in casual pickup formats - jams, open mics, restaurants - here in southern
Connecticut.
I’m also a collector of jazz autographs from all periods. Dozens include Dizzy, Duke, Herbie,
Chick, Wynton, McLaughlin, Benson, McFerrin, Esperanza, Cyrille, etc. The biggest thrill here is in
catching a current jazz idol just before or after their concert for a chat and signature.
I earlier ran a Fairfield CT/Westchester NY bi-county-wide meetup bringing jazz listeners to
exclusive performance opportunities like house performances and pre-concert talks. I'd be happy
to see local performances with other fans… and even write joint reviews for All About Jazz!

My Jazz Story
I play casual jazz/fusion keyboards. Way
back when, after given a family choice to
either become a computer scientist or a
musician, I chose "both"
and split my college days at MIT and at
Berklee.
I see the iPad as a powerful, always handy
musical 'instrument' - so many sophisticated
apps to work with, midi, samples, drums,
bass, etc.
My #1 desert island disk has to be First
Circle, by Pat Metheny. After following him
since his first Group album, I had the
memorable occasion of
attending his master class week one
summer .
