About Me
My Jazz Story
I love jazz because...lots of reasons, but mainly because there's improvisation.
I was first exposed to jazz...on TV, I seem to remember Oscar Peterson sweating profusely over his piano.
I was lucky enough to be taught by John Etheridge and John Parricelli.
The best show I ever attended was...Pat Metheny circa 2003 and Bill Frisell circa 1989.
The first jazz(ish) record I bought was...probably Alive and Well in Paris by Soft Machine.
My advice to new listeners...start with Miles and Coltrane.
