Lacy Miller
American vocalist and songwriter Lacy Miller breathes melodies and delivers lyrics with both ease and passion. A seasoned jazz, big band, and symphony pops performer, she enraptures audiences with velvety ballads and brings the house down with her powerful belt range.
Lacy has starred in countless stage productions and concerts. In addition to her solo performances, she tours with Gracie & Lacy and the South of Broad Band. Lacy has appeared with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, North Charleston Pops, Joe Clarke Big Band, St. Louis Big Band, Forte Jazz Band, and more. Miller has shared the stage with artists such as Marvin Hamlisch, Deanna Martin, and Grammy Award winner Charlton Singleton, to name a few.
?Born in St. Louis, MO, Lacy, along with her sister Gracie, started performing in front of a bed sheet curtain on her driveway at the age of 8. "Broadway on the Driveway was born, and productions soon caught the attention of local media, causing traffic jams and a visit from the local police. The sisters moved off the driveway and grew their troupe into a full-fledged theater company and orchestra, attracting thousands each season. In response to growing requests, Gracie and Lacy also began touring throughout the United States with their jazz combo, now known as South of Broad Band.
In 2014, Lacy and her sister relocated their entertainment company to Charleston, SC, where they quickly rose to prominence in the arts community. Known for their many sold-out concerts and their popular residency at Forte Jazz Lounge (2020-2022), the sisters' names are regularly seen on the billing for festivals, galas, corporate, and cultural events.
An avid songwriter, Lacy can often be found working out new lyrics and melodies inspired by life on her signature white guitar. Lacy's original "Charleston Anthem" was featured in the city's 350th anniversary festivities and TEDx Charleston. She has written and co-written several jingles and song commissions, with her most notable request being to include the name of the recipient's cat, Yellow Bell (Forever & Ever). In 2021, she released "It's a Wonderful Life," featuring her sister, Gracie Miller, inspired by the classic Frank Capra film. Her singles "House on a Hill" and "One More Dance" will hit the airwaves in 2024.
In 2023, Lacy expanded her musical collaborations into the New York City arts scene, where new fans have enjoyed her appearances at Birdland, The Ivy Room, and more. In addition to performance, she will be focusing on her songwriting and recording career, as well as finishing her children's book, "Broadway on the Driveway."
