ROBERT JUKI?

Bassist (+composer/songwriter/lyricist) Robert completed his formal education at the jazz department of the renowned University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. He has released 15 albums featuring his original compositions, as well as appeared on over 70 records of other artists of many different genres. His compositions are performed by small jazz bands, big bands, smaller chamber ensembles, and both popular and alternative performers.

The earliest musical memories Robert Juki? has were being exposed to classical music, which provided him with a comfort zone and put him to sleep. Later, before he was old enough to pick them up, he used imaginary drum sticks to play drums, finally gravitating to the real thing when he was 12. Juki? was the one to address the material, which was the basis for innovation, with the most mojo. Together with guitarist Jani Moder, trumpeter Igor Matkovi? and drummer ?iga Ko?ar they molded roughly and delicately, funky and meditatively.
