Sister Sledge
Their other US hits include a 1982 remake of Mary Wells' 1964 hit, "My Guy", and other international hits include "Mama Never Told Me" (1973) and "Thinking of You" (1984), and the number one UK hit, "Frankie" in 1985. Remixed versions of three of their singles in 1993 returned them to the UK Top 20. The sisters have performed all over the world including at the legendary Rumble in the Jungle Boxing event in Zaire, Africa, The White House for the Clinton administration, and for Pope Francis at the World Festival of Families in Philadelphia in 2015. Following the unexpected passing of their sister Joni in early 2017, the group continues to tour and is still very much a family affair with Debbie Sledge performing alongside her daughter Camille Sledge, son David Sledge and Joni's son Thaddeus Sledge. They are joined by longtime member Tanya Tiet and and perform with their spectacular band across the world.
