Jazz-Con 2025, the international virtual jazz music business conference, is proud to announce a presenting partnership with Belongó, the Bronx-based nonprofit dedicated to advancing Latin and Spanish-speaking arts and culture, for the new session Global Clave: The Spanish-Speaking Jazz Connection.
Taking place on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm (EST), this panel will explore the thriving jazz communities across Latin America, Spain, and Spanish-speaking communities in the United States. From Mexico City to Madrid, the session highlights the creativity, cultural exchange, and opportunities that define these vibrant markets. Artists, broadcasters, and industry leaders will share insights on how careers are built in these territories and how international musicians can connect with Spanish-speaking audiences worldwide.
Confirmed participants include Natacha Cruz (Circuito Argentino del Jazz, Argentina), Arturo Gomez (KUVO Radio, USA); Miguel Ramirez (a member Plataforma Jazz Espa?a & Artistic Director of Colorado Productions, Spain), with Zack O'Farrill, (Youth Orchestra Director of Belongó & Founder of The Opera Next Door. USA, serving as moderator.

With its bilingual focus and international lineup, Global Clave: The Spanish-Speaking Jazz Connection continues Jazz-Con’s commitment to accessibility and inclusivity, offering live panels in English, Spanish, and Japanese with real-time captions in over 10 languages.
“Casa Belongó is more than just a building,” added Ulacia. “It will be a gathering place where tradition meets innovation, and where artists and audiences alike can celebrate the global impact of Latin and Spanish-speaking jazz.”

Casa Belongó Capital Campaign
This partnership also comes at a pivotal moment in Belongó’s history as the organization advances its Casa Belongó capital campaign. The initiative seeks to establish a permanent cultural center in the Bronx, NY, that will serve as a home for Spanish-speaking arts, education, and community engagement.
