Andrew Esch

Andrew Esch is a young trumpeter hailing from Hillsborough, North Carolina. He began his journey as a musician studying classical and jazz trumpet with revered trumpet player, Jim Ketch, the director of Jazz studies at the University of North Carolina. After meeting and performing with trumpeter Terell Stafford, he was offered to study at Temple University with the Mimsy Katz Musician Scholarship in the Boyer College of Music and Dance Jazz Performance department. He received the Billy Strayhorn Award in 2022, celebrating students in the Boyer Jazz program who displayed an appreciation of tradition, musicality, and innovation whilst inspiring other musicians

Justin Fitzgerald

Born: August 7, 1969

Based on the picturesque South Coast of New South Wales, Australia, Justin Fitzgerald is a distinguished pianist and composer who seamlessly bridges the worlds of jazz, classical, and solo piano music. Drawing inspiration from legendary artists such as Bill Evans, John Coltrane, and Oscar Peterson, Justin cultivates a unique musical style that pays homage to his influences while carving out his own artistic identity.

With a keen ear for melody and harmony, Justin's compositions are characterized by their emotional depth and intricate arrangements. His work has garnered attention not just in the jazz community, but also in the realms of television and film. Justin's music has found its way into popular productions such as "The Path" and "5th Ward" on Hulu in the United States, as well as programming for Fox Sports, The History Channel, ABC, SBS, and Channel 10 in Australia. This widespread recognition is a testament to his versatility and ability to create music that resonates across various mediums.

Jazzmosax

Born: July 19, 1953

Guitars, IT job, piano, clarinet, and saxophone...

Among these, the saxophone struck a profound chord with me and became a lifelong passion. It led me to discover my love for jazz and improvisation, particularly in the realm of mainstream, melodic jazz. The songs I composed during the '80s and '90s reflect this preference but also incorporate unique harmonies and time signatures.

Although I  frequently performed these compositions on stage, it wasn't until 2022 that I decided to record and release them. This endeavor resulted in two albums, A10 and Thisav, as well as a track named "Chujad."" In August 2023, I unveiled Fried, an album featuring entirely new compositions with a fresh perspective on rhythm and blues chord sequences. February 2025 witnessed the release of Airlift, new compositions with a focus on backing rhythms. Thank you for your support, and I hope you enjoy the music.

Kim Peralta

Kim Peralta studied drumset at Havana Music School in Cuba under Alejandro Aguiar from 2017 - 2020. From 2021 - 2024 she played with the SUNY Orange Jazz Ensemble (MIddletown, NY.) Kim now plays with several groups, including  Blue Hearts Jazz Ensemble, Hudson Valley Jazzwomen and Unidos Latin Jazz.

Kevin Dorrian

One of the hardest working swinging drummers, Kevin blends deep rhythmic vitality with an innate sense of super-accurate feel and timing. He is known for great subtlety in his accompaniment, delivering subtle nuances within the scope of his drumming and is both creative and adaptive in his approach to whichever musical style is called for. He is primarily a jazz drummer – equally at home in the context of an instrumental group, or as a part of a backing trio for an accomplished singer.

Playing drums has been a burning passion of mine since I was a young boy. I can still recall the first time I sat behind a drum kit. I was about four years old and fortunate to be the son of one of Scotland’s top jazz pianists. His drummer had a glittering Blue Slingerland drum kit – and from the moment I sat on the stool – I was hooked! Fast forward ten years and I began drum lessons having already spent time learning piano, but my path was to combine learning Orchestral percussion with playing with an assortment of school rock, blues and jazz groups. Unquestionably, I earned my spurs, by sitting in, listening to other drummers, buying records which featured great drummers and so on. My influences back then are similar to the ones I have now – drummers with a ‘sixth sense’ for the purity of their playing – and in particular, a ‘roll call’ of great jazz drummers from the 40′s and 50′s- too many to mention, but who all play with such verve and swing. I am fortunate enough to be called upon very regularly as a small group drummer – backing vocalists, playing in instrumental groups, etc and you’ll find me currently filling the drum stool with JazzMain and Bossa Trio

Born: April 17, 1985

Nastassia Moore. Inspired by life, poetry, philosophy, spirituality, and the human condition. The music and lyrics explore the depths of self introspection to arrive at metamorphosis and truth. Nastassia is also the lead vocalist for the jazz/blues ensemble The Bohemian Road as well as a prolific session vocalist and author.

Jim Butler

Born: September 2, 1964

Jim Butler, a native Californian, has been playing the saxophone for over 45 years. He focuses on modern and original jazz. The Jim Butler Jazz Group have recorded seven CDs: "Journeys" (2003); "Live in Tokyo!" (2005); "Night of a Thousand Years" (2009); "Postcards from the World" (2014); "Let’s Get Lost" (2019); "Perseverance" (2022); and "Short Stories" (2023).

Jim started out as a music educator, directing a jazz ensemble and teaching saxophone, woodwinds, and Jazz Studies at The University of North Florida. He has a Doctorate in Music from the University of Texas at Austin.  During this time he appeared professionally as a saxophonist with many different artists including Mel Torme, Crystal Gail, The Drifters, Rosemary Clooney, Tony Campesi, and Sam Moore.

Inspired by the cocktail sounds of the 1950's cool jazz vocal genre, DiAMOND SWiNG JAZZ services all those looking for something soothing from yesterday to escape from today.  With a stripped down accompaniment of electric guitar and upright bass, elegant vocals float over syncopated rhythms. As the band likes to say, "Swing is our middle name."
