Ali Hossein Mahdavi, born in Tehran in 1996, is a Vienna based composer, pianist, and producer whose music bridges Iranian traditions, chamber music, and contemporary jazz. His compositions are marked by intricate harmonies, rhythmic complexity, and innovative instrumentation, blending cultural depth with modern sensibilities. Known for his dynamic performances with his different bands, Ali Hossein regularly captivates audiences with a fusion of structured composition and vibrant improvisation. His album "BISTOHAFT" highlights his ability to craft rich, emotive soundscapes, combining lyrical melodies with unexpected rhythmic and harmonic shifts.

Simone Guiducci

Born: May 24, 1962

Simone Guiducci is a highly regarded Italian jazz guitarist and composer known for his innovative approach to blending jazz improvisation with the rich traditions of Italian folk music. His musical journey began in the early 1990s, and he quickly established himself as one of the most prominent figures in the Italian jazz scene. Since 1995, he has been leading his Gramelot Ensemble, a project that explores the intersection of jazz and Italian folklore.

Guiducci's work with the Gramelot Ensemble has led to numerous acclaimed recordings and collaborations with notable musicians such as American trumpeter Ralph Alessi, who has been a regular guest since 2002, and other renowned jazz artists like Erik Friedlander, Enrico Rava, Paolo Fresu, Chris Speed, Don Byron, and Gianluigi Trovesi, among others. His Gramelot project is described as a creative dialogue between regional Italian themes and global jazz improvisation, weaving together elements of jazz, classical, and popular music.

Catriona Bourne

Catriona Bourne is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist who has performed at venues and events including London Jazz Festival, Wilderness Festival, Sinfonia Smith Square, Kings Place and Newcastle Festival of Jazz and Improvised Music. She has experimented with flute and live electronics, recently performing a solo set of her own arrangements and improvisations in the Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall.  Although she studied classical harp throughout school, Catriona is most excited by the opportunities to improvise and compose for the harp. She has always had an interest in folk, and combines this with her love of jazz through her original compositions.

Brett Hansen

Born: May 21, 1993

Brett Hansen is a Canadian guitarist/composer/producer based in Edmonton. He has recorded on dozens of albums across many genres. Brett has shared the stage with the likes of Robi Botos, Gil Goldstein, PJ Perry, Mallory Chipman, the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, and many others. He is an active sideman having opened up for bands such as Blue Rodeo, AQUA, and Blue Oyster Cult.

His creative process is a fluid, organic journey of discovery - eschewing rigid structures, he allows the music to flow naturally, weaving together melodies and rhythms with an instinctual grace that captivates and inspires.

Lucy Iffla

Lucy Iffla is a jazz and folk vocalist and songwriter. She has been performing for over a decade, captivating audiences with her soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics. 

Lucy's music is a blend of jazz and folk, with influences from artists such as Joni Mitchell, Billie Holiday, and Ella Fitzgerald. Lucy is known for her dynamic stage presence and ability to connect with her audience on a personal level.

From an early age Lucy Iffla had a passion for diverse music. This led her to complete a Bachelor of Music at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, graduating with the award for Best Bachelor Recitalist. Through her degree Lucy was privileged to work alongside esteemed international and national artists in Paris, New York and Japan.

What science have discovered until now, is that the prerequisites for life seems to be a rarity, a non-comformist in the general activity of matter and whatnots in the universe. If you compress the history of the universe into 365 days, Earth would be born in the beginning of September, the human race at 1145pm on December the 31st, and a human life of 80 years would correspond to 1/3 of a second. How do you use that time? 

Doublebassist and composer Erlend Olderskog Albertsen has summoned a handful of dear colleagues from the Norwegian jazz scene for an expedition towards new musical habitats. The crew consists of personalities that are associated with names such as ECM, Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, Espen Berg, Stian Carstensen, Jaga Jazzist, Marthe Lea, Wako and Miman.

Nishad Pandey

Nishad Pandey is a Berlin-based guitarist, composer and teacher. Over the years he has developed his own relationship with harmony, melody and rhythm, with a deep interest in emancipating sound from the constraints of genre and style. His current work explores free improvisation, Indian-classical music and experimental pop. His debut album is set to release later this year.
