Nikola Spasojevic

Nikola Spasojevic (US, RS) is a saxophonist and composer based in New York. Spasojevic brings an eclectic combination of influences to his improvisations and compositions expressed through the language of contemporary jazz. Nikola began playing classical saxophone when he was just 9 years old in Subotica (RS). Later, he moved to Rotterdam (NL) to pursue his undergraduate degree at Codarts University of the Arts. In 2022 he came to New York City to continue his studies with a master’s at New York University. While at NYU, he has had the opportunity to perform at well-known venues like the Blue Note with the Dezron Douglas ensemble, the Frederick Loewe Theater with the NYU Jazz Orchestra and the Provincetown Playhouse with the David Liebman ensemble

Dan DeChellis

Born:
Dan DeChellis has been immersed in music from listening, improvising, playing classical, rock and jazz and collecting records for as long as he can remember. His first job was a paperboy, his second was in a record store where his collection and interests grew. He focused on Classical Music in college for knowledge and technique and continued to improvise and discover Jazz, which he loved. He studied Jazz Piano with Laurie Altman and was in jazz bands during his undergraduate and graduate college years. Dan also attended The New England Conservatory in Boston for a period to study with Ran Blake and Paul Bley in the Contemporary Improvisation Department

He has produced six albums of original compositions: Real World (Real World Music); Here and Now (Sirocco Jazz); One Sky (Motéma), named one of the year’s best recordings by the Chicago Tribune and a number of jazz publications; Another Look (Motéma), hailed as “a model for modern jazz piano albums” by ICON magazine; and The River (Motéma) which features Ryan’s sixty-minute suite inspired by his travels in Africa.

Joaquín Lombardo es un guitarrista y compositor de jazz argentino. Nacido en Buenos Aires en 2002, comenzó a tocar la guitarra a los 6 años y a tomar clases formales a los 7. A los 16, decidió dedicarse seriamente al jazz. En 2021, se matriculó en el programa de Técnico Superior de Jazz del Conservatorio Juan Manuel de Falla, donde continuó su formación musical.

Giacomo Romanelli, an Italian saxophonist and composer, released his debut album "New Beginnings" on November 30, 2024. The album features six tracks and has a total duration of 43 minutes.

When four musicians gathered to explore what might emerge from their collective artistic curiosities, a new Pulse was born. The Cleveland-based group, Pulse, features Anthony Fuoco on piano, Dustin May on drums, Aidan Plank on acoustic bass, and Brad Wagner on tenor and soprano saxophones. Established in early 2018, their approach celebrates melodic shape, harmonic subtlety, improvisation, and the wide-open soundscapes of the Midwest. Cody Steinmann

Cody Steinmann has been performing and teaching professionally for over 10 years. He attended Milwaukee Area Technical College where he completed an Associate’s degree in Music Occupations and later won a Rita Tallent Picken scholarship to attend the University of Wisconsin – Parkside. Cody has studied extensively with Steve Peplin, Russ Johnson, Solomon Parham, JD Allen, Jesse Catalino Montijo and James Crowley, DM. He has also taken lessons with Ari Honig, Johannes Weidenmueller, Scott Hesse, Pete McCann, and Aaron Gardner.
An outstanding improviser and composer, Cody has become a fixture on the Twin Cities jazz scene since settling in Minneapolis. Cody has performed with JD Allen, Solomon Parham, Javier Santiago, Russ Johnson, Chris Bates, JT Bates, Abinnet Berhanu, Anthony Fung, Max Gerl, Kevin Washington, Bryan Murray, Fode Bangoura, L.A. Buckner, Jake Baldwin, and Nelson Devereaux. In September 2019, under his producer name C0D3 7, he released his debut album 7 a musical chronicle of Cody’s youth. He then released his second album, Sightless Quartet Live, in May 2021. Sightless Quartet is the first group Cody formed upon moving to the Twin Cities, dedicated to exploring the intersections between jazz, metal, and hip hop.

Jackson Hillmer

Born:
Jackson Frye Hillmer is a drummer, songwriter, and educator who grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he developed a deep love of music. He began his journey learning the trumpet and eagerly picked up the tuba and drum set soon after to perform with the Redwood High School jazz and symphonic band. He had the opportunity and good fortune to study with John Mattern (Redwood High School), Alan Hall (Cirque Du Soleil), Jeff Masanari (SF Symphony), and Chris Amberger (Janis Joplin, Rahsaan Roland Kirk). As a member in his early jazz groups, he opened for vocalist Kenny Washington, and played frequent local festivals & weekly gigs. Jackson started teaching drum lessons to beginner students when he was in high school and has continued to teach throughout his music career.
