Trip Trio

The trio that's a quartet Mike Barnes, consumate guitarist, is a veteran of the Austin, TX music scene, fluent in blues, soul, rock, funk, R&B, and jazz. He was a founding member of Austin funk legends Steam Heat, and is a sustaining member of its spawn Extreme Heat. In the late 90s he was also an original member of the funky pop group Millennium Swing/Blue Millennium. Trip Trio allows Mike to really shine! 'Solid son' bassist Brad Taylor has performed with Carol Channing, Sam Moore, Bo Diddley, Jonas Alvarez, La Vida Buena, Los Jazz Vatos, and Native Sun. Besides his prowess on the six-string bass, Brad also does the high vocal harmonies that Lissa so appreciates! James Fenner, Austin’s favorite percussionist, has performed and/or recorded with everyone from Freddy Fender to Stephen Bruton to Eric Johnson to Joe Ely to Christopher Cross to Luther Tucker to TripTrio! Lissa Hattersley, who as an original member of the Greezy Wheels is in the Austin Music Hall of Fame (2013), enjoys dabbling in many genres of song, making her music hard to categorize
