Scott Alberti

Born: April 18, 2003

Scott Alberti is a Trombonist, Composer, Educator, and Bandleader based in Philadelphia that has performed alongside great musicians like Terell Stafford & The Vanguard Jazz Orchestra and the Aspen Festival Orchestra. He has personally performed his music internationally from New York to Japan, has been accepted into prestigious programs including YoungArts and The American Brass Quintet Seminar at Aspen, and he placed as an alternate in the ITF Carl Fontana Trombone Competition. Scott's arrangements range in style from chamber groups to big bands, and he hopes to continue making many musical memories with people for the rest of his life.

Tom Bone Ralls

Tom Ralls, also known as "Tombone," is a trombonist, arranger, composer, and educator. He is known for his work with various artists including Macy Gray, The Gap Band, and Ray Charles. He is also recognized for his work with The Billie Davies Trio recording "all about Love.", The Funk Bros, The Berlin Jazz Orchestra, and The Jazz Anarchist. 

Brian Martin

Award-winning trombonist, composer, and educator Brian Martin is based both in the music scene of his home state of Iowa as well as the Greater Boston area where he currently resides. As a performer, Martin has performed alongside international and national touring artists in addition to leading his own groups. His most ambitious project is his Brian Martin Big Band, an ensemble ranging from 17-20 pieces dedicated to performing his original music, which is composed of musicians from New England and the Midwest.

As a writer, his compositions and arrangements have received accolades from the Jazz Educators Network and DownBeat Magazine

Jimmy Reno

Will Bradley

Born: July 12, 1912

Wilbur Schwichtenberg, born on July 12, 1912, was a popular American trombonist and bandleader who rose to fame in World War II, at the height of the swing era. After playing trombone in New York for various dance orchestras during the 1930s, in 1939 he changed his name to Will Bradley and co-founded his own big band with drummer and singer Ray McKinley. Their orchestra became renowned for popularising African-American boogie woogie rhythms and incorporating them into hits like "Beat Me Daddy, Eight to the Bar" and  "Scrub Me Mama, with a Boogie Beat." Despite his personal preference for ballads, Bradley's collaborations with McKinley and pianist Freddie Slack helped his band briefly become known as one of the most distinctive hard-swinging outifts in the country

Clifton Swiggett

Peter Lin

Born: August 15, 1990

Peter Lin is a Taiwanese-American trombonist, producer, and educator based in New Jersey & New York City. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and raised in northern New Jersey, Peter played violin and piano before picking up the trombone at 10 years old. His love for music continued, motivating him to pursue a jazz studies degree at the esteemed music programs of William Paterson University (undergraduate) and Rutgers University (graduate). Since then, he has become an integral part of the music scene, performing and sharing the stage with renowned artists including Ron Carter, Slide Hampton, Winard Harper, Charli Persip, Jerry Weldon, George Cables, Valerie Ponomarev, JD Allen, Josh Evans, and Radam Schwartz. He also spent a considerable amount of time studying with his influences, including trombone masters Slide Hampton, Steve Turre, Conrad Herwig, Robin Eubanks, Steve Davis, and Frank Lacy. He continues to perform prolifically as both a leader and sideman at established venues in the tri-state area such as Carnegie Hall, NJPAC, Blue Note, Dizzy’s, Birdland, Smalls, and Zinc Bar.

The Dorsey Brothers

The Dorsey Brothers, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, were influential American musicians and bandleaders who played pivotal roles in the swing era of the 1930s and 1940s. After initially performing together in various orchestras, including that of the Paul Whiteman (known as "The King of Jazz"), they formed their own bands in the late 1930s. Tommy, a virtuoso trombonist, and Jimmy, a talented saxophonist and clarinetist, each led successful ensembles, with Tommy's band renowned for its smooth, polished arrangements and Jimmy’s for its more vibrant, jazz-infused style. While they eventually parted ways professionally, both enjoyed prominent solo careers—Tommy in the big band world and Jimmy in jazz

Eric Richards is a widely performed composer/arranger, conductor, trombonist and educator active in a wide range of musical media and genres. As a composer who defines himself as a “contemporary American eclectic”, he has written music for groups ranging from rural high school marching bands to chamber music ensembles to nationally recognized big bands and symphony orchestras. Eric’s music has been heard on six continents in performances and recordings by professional and academic ensembles in major concert venues across the United States, Europe, Australia, Asia and India to include:
