B.I.T. DUO | Danielle Di Majo | Manuela Pasqui

Danielle and Manuela have been performing as a duo since 2019. From the beginning a special
bond was born thanks to the sharing of artistic goals that inspired their "musical research". With this
lineup they have already recorded three albums for Filibusta Records, in 2021, 2023 and 2024.B.I.T.'s first album duo, “Come Again” (Filibusta), focuses on a new interpretation of material takenfrom classical repertoires and on original songs, with the aim of building a personal sound andlyricism, as well as developing a common musical language.
Their second album “Equilibrismi” (Filibusta), is an exclusive collection of original songs. It provided
fertile ground for the two instrumentalists to delve into melodic expressiveness and the art of
dialectical interaction between two musical instruments. The result of continuous and profound
research, both compositional and improvisational.

Sherrie, Amy, and Jackie met in May of 2014 at the Cleveland Playhouse while playing in The DIVA Jazz Orchestra as part of Maurice Hines’ award-winning show Tappin’ Thru Life. From their first shared downbeat, they became kindred-swinging spirits and the resulting musical synergy was fast and fierce...or as the New York Times said…"Blistering Hot!" Sofia Goodman

Born: December 22

Sofia Goodman is a drummer and composer residing in Nashville, TN. Before enrolling at Berklee College of music for her Bachelor's, Sofia was fortunate to learn and perform with Esperanza Spalding in a Berklee summer program jazz ensemble. Esperanza's encouragement inspired Sofia to perfect her craft. After graduating Berklee in 2011 (Drum Set Performance), Sofia moved to Nashville in 2012. In Nashville, Sofia's resume grew and she worked as a freelance musician and teacher. Tony Rounce of Ace Records said this about her playing at the Poretta Soul Festival:"There isn't enough time to do full justice to the qualities of every member of Heart & Soul, but it would be wrong not the spotlight the unit's brilliant drummer Sofia Goodman, whose drive and precision across 5-6 hours behind her kit each night put her in a class with any of the world's great soul drummers, from Al Jackson Jr., Howard Grimers and Roger Hawkins to Benny Benjamin, James Gadson and beyond." Tania Giannouli

Greek pianist, composer, improviser and bandleader. She studied classical music (Piano Soloist and Composition diplomas) and Agriculture (MS on Food Technology, AUA). She explores jazz as the most creative music form and regularly employs improvisation in her practice. She makes jazz of the kind where improvisation is just the starting point and somewhere out there - or something deep inside - is the aim. Ιnspired by many different traditions and influences, her music and interdisciplinary projects span an impressive range of styles - a creative and borderless amalgamation of the global today’s reality.?
