With the power of the New Orleans-fueled Kansas City-based band Back Alley Brass Band, we begin the 860th Episode of Neon Jazz and music from their release Last Chance to Dance. We keep the New Orleans vibe going with a combination of the legendary Tom Waits with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band with "Tootie Ma is a Big Fine Thing." From there, we get into a trove of new music from Brian Landrus, Greg Skaff, Adam Larson and Norah Jones. We also hear from legends like Billy Strayhorn and Jerry Hahn. We bring the hour to a close with Alex Sipiagin and music from his 2024 release Horizons. Dig the jazz, my friends.
