trumpetSteve Denny has applied his expansive versatility as a pianist, composer, and educator to the realms of jazz, classical, R&B, gospel, and beyond. He was among five finalists for the prestigious Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition in 2012 and 2015. As a member of the University of Northern Colorado's Lab Band, Denny was awarded "Outstanding Achievement by a Collegiate Big Band" by Downbeat Magazine in 2008.
Singer/musician Charlie Fox and her band play rootsy music inspired by soul, funk, R&B, and gospel. Fox composes original music influenced by jazz improvisation, soul singers of the past, and late-night jam sessions. Fox discusses her appearance at Denver's jazz nightclub Dazzle.
