His recent album, Modern Lore, was inspired by the time when country, jazz and rock 'n' roll were in their wild-west period, when people were dancing and singing to it, according to the American guitarist who took up the timeless Fender Telecaster for this recording. Still, the music sounds contemporary, thanks to the unadorned sound and the catchy double bass and drum grooves.
