��Escher��s Staircase�� is an original composition by New York-based jazz pianist and composer-arranger Junichiro Mataga, featured on his second leader album. The piece won the 2024 Lennon Award��the top annual honor in the Jazz category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest��after first being selected by the contest's panel of judges as the Grand Prize winner in Session I. It later triumphed in a global online vote against the Session II winner, securing its place as the year��s most outstanding jazz composition.
