Brazilian siren Luisa Maita is returning to North America with her signature mix of samba, alternative pop and downtempo electronica. Hailed by NPR as The New Voice of Brazil," Luísa Maita will be previewing new material from her forthcoming album to be released in early 2012.
Luisa Maita has been busy since the release of her critically-acclaimed debut album Lero-Lero on Cumbancha Discovery in 2010. In 2011 Luisa won the Best New Artist award at the Brazilian Music Awards, the local version of the GRAMMY and she was featured both on-screen and in the soundtrack for the major motion picture Estamos Juntos directed by Tony Venturi performing a revamped version of her hit song Lero-Lero."
