Seeing more than 75 panelists join us from 22 nations—nearly half of whom are women—underscores how our music and our business are stronger when we embrace diversity and innovation.
Jerald Miller, Executive Director, Jazz-Con
Jazz-Con 2025, the fully virtual global jazz l music business conference, has announced its most ambitious program to date. Across two days, September 15-16, the summit will bring together 75+ panelists representing 22 countries and six continents, reflecting the conference’s rapidly growing reputation as a crossroads for musicians, technologists, and cultural leaders. In a milestone for inclusivity, more than 40% of this year’s speakers are women, setting a new standard for international gatherings in the field.
“Jazz-Con was designed to be a meeting place where the global industry, artists, and technologists all share the same stage,” said Jazz-Con Executive Director Jerald Miller. “Seeing more than 75 panelists join us from 22 nations—nearly half of whom are women—underscores how our music and our business are stronger when we embrace diversity and innovation.”
Among the most visible names on this year’s roster are executives from the world’s leading streaming services and technology platforms, underscoring the event’s focus on the future of music discovery and rights management. Bandcamp will be represented by Lara Peterson, former VP of Marketing (USA), and Aly Gillani, Manager of Artists & Labels (UK). FUGA/Downtown (NL) sends Senior Marketing Strategy Manager Amy Nelson, while Pandora (USA) is represented by Senior Operations Manager, Jazz, Classics & Catalog Michelle Solomon. YouTube’s Eric Knapp (USA) joins the program alongside Deezer’s Senior Editor—Classical & Jazz Yannick Fage (France), Muso.AI Co-founder Kyran de Keijzer (NL), OpenPlay’s Executive Vice President Chris McMurtry (USA), Lark42 & Sureel AI Co-president Benji Rogers (USA), and Winamp’s Chief Business Officer Thierry Ascarez (Belgium). Together these figures bring unparalleled insight into metadata reform, streaming dynamics, and the role of artificial intelligence in reshaping the music economy.
The two-day program will feature sessions in English, Spanish, and Japanese, with real-time captions in 20+ languages, ensuring unprecedented accessibility. Topics span the spectrum of today’s jazz economy: touring and programming, royalties and metadata, the politics of playlisting, festival strategies, and the promise and pitfalls of AI. With panelists from North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa, and Oceania, Jazz-Con 2025 promises to be a genuine global dialogue about the future of improvisational music.
Jazz-Con 2025 is made possible through the support of a distinguished roster of sponsors and presenting partners.
