Yesterday, YouTube announced YouTube Red, a $9.99 per month ad-free video and music ?service including exclusive content. Part of the package is a new YouTube Music app which gives paying subscribers a background mode for just?listening to music.

You can also toggle a video to play the video or audio only.

“Like" a video in Red and it s saved to play offline.

YouTube Red will launch next Wednesday, October 28th, but it is unclear when the new app will launch.
