The Nine Muses of Greek Mythology were deities that gave poets, musicians, philosophers and other individuals the necessary inspiration for creation. Motion, refers to a movement, a change of position in space and time.
SOJP’s Spring event for 2019 “Muses In Motion,” will be just that, musical and poetic expression, presented by a unique group of musicians and wordsmiths.which will definitely move you in ways that you've never experienced.
This event’s goal is to not only entertain, but also to keep jazz and poetry alive. Host/producer Clayton Corley, Sr. feels that “jazz and poetry were made for each other, a marriage if you will. Both have elements of improvisation and are major ways of communicating with one another. These two art forms need to be passed down to future generations.” “Clay and SOJP deserve kudos for the effort. I can’t wait until the next event!” (David Mills, 2018 attendee)
