It's been quite a while since we've had a get-together, so why not hook up for cocktails and FREE jazz on the roof of the Empire Hotel (63rd St. & Broadway)? Located on the 12th floor of the Empire Hotel, The Empire Hotel Rooftop Bar & Lounge offers magnificent views of Lincoln Center as well as the Broadway & Columbus Avenue gateway to Manhattans Upper West Side. The Empire Rooftop is an 8,000 square foot rooftop haven, serves up some of the hottest cocktails in town and offers a lounge menu featuring savory bites such as Lobster Rolls, Kobe Sliders, and Crispy Rock Shrimp Tempura. With window-lined walls setting a different mood every hour of the day, the Penthouse Lounge is the rooftop epicenter with comfy lounge seating and bar. Don't worry, The Empire Rooftop has indoor spaces for when it rains.

We can also chat about some of the upcoming Jazz Festival Tours that I have planned, starting with the 52nd Monterey Jazz Festival in Monterey, California in September. After that it's the Catalina Island Jazz Trax Festival in October, and the Berlin (Germany), and London (England) Jazz Festivals in November. The artist lineups for Monterey and Catalina are fantastic! The lineups for Berlin and London will be finalized in early August. For those who might like to enjoy a little sun and surf with their jazz, the Air Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival, which will be held in Montego Bay, Jamaica during January 2010, will be announcing their festival schedule shortly.
