bass, acousticThe music at once reflects the joyous dances and festivities of their native land ("Gailicho") and the urban landscape in which they now thrive, namely Brooklyn. "Sitio," with all its distinct moments, sets Sera Niebla's curious but confident course. "Momo" with its many concurrent interstices, dips and crests much like breathing. "Raida" rushes on powered by its own internal logic and scalar design. The quietly stirring eight plus minutes of "Figueras" spurs the late night spirits with its attendant whispery cymbals and Leibson's continued conversations with the unknown. Though not unique to the free jazz genre, Sera Niebla still makes for a captivating listenening experience. ">
