Lee Noyes

Born: January 14, 1977

Lee Noyes is a Sweden-based experimental musician and improviser known for his innovative approach to percussion, strings and electroacoustic sound. Blending minimalism with noise and extended techniques, his work spans solo performances, collaborations, and interdisciplinary projects. Noyes' practice is rooted in free improvisation and often challenges conventional musical structures, making him a distinctive voice in the global avant-garde and improvised music scenes.

Mirna Bogdanovic

Award-winning singer & composer Mirna Bogdanovic is creating a blend of experimental sounds with jazz influenced vocals, effects and beats. With tireless curiosity, she explores the possibilities of harmony, combining the voice with acoustic and electronic soundscapes. The universe of Berlin-based artist Mirna Bogdanovic, invites the listeners into a warped world coated with jazz and avant-pop.

Bogdanovic? studied classical piano and jazz vocals at various music Colleges around Europe and finished her degree at the Jazz Institut Berlin (2017). At the time of her studies she won the Downbeat Student Award and was part of the National Youth Big Band (BuJazzo).

Lars Fiil

Born: February 17, 1986

Lars Fiil is a Danish pianist and composer currently residing in Copenhagen, Denmark.

He released his first album as a leader in 2011, when the album Lars Fiil Quartet “Reconsideration” came out. It received great reviews and was nominated for a Danish Music Award. Lars Fiil Quartet also won the prestigious competition Young Jazz in 2010.

Since then he has released 7 albums in his own name. The latest, New Ground (2024), blends acoustic soundscapes with ambient electronic textures, creating a sound that simultaneously points forward and backward in time, offering a fresh take on modern Nordic jazz.

Ashlae Blume

Born: March 28

Ashlae Blume is an American musician, composer and producer based in and out of New Orleans and New York City.

Born in Baltimore, they began to study piano and trumpet at the age of 5, and were composing music as early as age 6. Upon moving to New Orleans in 2008, Ashlae began performing regularly both in and out of clubs as a vocalist, accordionist, pianist, and trumpetist. They have gone on several tours throughout North America and Europe, leading projects of original music, hot jazz, and solo performance, in addition to playing with a wide variety of other groups.

Their primary musical project, Laelume, has a rotating cast of characters, and is a concept body of work that draws on elements from minimalism, genres of global folk music, jazz and black american music

Nicole Brancato

Nicole Brancato makes music to unlock wonder. Fascinated with contemporary expressions of our shared human experience, the NYC-based pianist merges curation, composition and performance in collaborations across the arts. Described as “brilliant” and an “immense talent” (New York Magazine and Connect Savannah), Nicole is “redefining the very notion of classical music” (Atención San Miguel). Her credits range from the Guggenheim Museum (NYC), Rai Italia, and the Banff Centre (Canada) to Lincoln Center, Bellas Artes (Mexico), HBO, and the “underground” performances in Brooklyn factories and warehouses.

Arktet

Born: January 1, 1970

Arktet is a new trio from Melbourne/Naarm, recently formed by three virtuosos in their fields: Robert Vincs on woodwinds, Niko Schauble on drums and Adam Nash on generative virtual environments. They came together to push the envelope of improvisatory music practice, based around Adam's 'generative virtual environments'. These are playable audiovisual environments, like game worlds, coded to generatively compose on the fly, different every time they're played. Rob on saxes and flute, and Niko on drums, respond to and build upon these environments, using their immense experience in improvisation to create immersive new worlds of sonic experience.

Bonnie Kane

"I'm interested in what a musician can bring to the moment of creation..." Dedicated improvisor and electro acoustic pioneer, Bonnie Kane's music is formed from equal exposure to the avant-garde, hard core and the psychedelic. Integrating saxophone, flute, feedback and electronics, her solo and group work traverse the genres of noise, free jazz and improvisation, psych rock, jam band, and bio-composition. She brought her "Fresh Sound Guarantee" to her first show at the Rochester Planetarium, performances at a Bosnian refugee camp, outdoor festivals, art spaces, rock, jazz, and punk clubs

Strangerous

Born: September 20, 1998

Strangerous is an experimental artist based in Trondheim. She has performed at festivals such as the Emergency Festival (N?dutgangfestivalen), and Ung Nordisk Musik, and has released two albums. Strangerous is a new voice in the borderland between noise, ambient, contemporary and everything else that defies normal genre conventions. She uses vocals, field recordings, various instruments and electronic processing of sound to create a soundscape that captures both the disturbing and the beautiful.
