David Witham

David Witham studied piano with Jaki Byard at the New England Conservatory of Music, and Alan Broadbent in Los Angeles. He's had writing and performing associations with saxophonist Ernie Watts, bassist / composer Jay Anderson, the Jeff Gauthier Goatette, and percussionist Luis Conte. David was Musical Director for George Benson from 1990-2007, and has also served as a producer for Tom Scott and Grover Washington. Recording and performance credits include Barbra Streisand, Patti Austin, Lee Ritenour, Jose Feliciano, John Patitucci, Bluezeum, Joao Bosco, Larry Carlton, Randy and Michael Brecker

Ben Bierman

Born:
Ben Bierman is a Brooklyn-based trumpet player, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. In his compositions he incorporates elements of jazz, blues, Latin music, and the Western art music tradition. His music can be heard on Some Takes On the Blues (Plaza Street Music PSM 101, 2019) and on Beyond Romance: Songs by Ben Bierman (New Focus Recordings FCR 141, 2013). As a trumpet player, Ben has performed with a wide array of artists, including Johnny Copeland, B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johnny Pacheco, Machito, Johnny Colon, Archie Shepp, and Arthur Blythe. He is the author of Listening to Jazz (Oxford University Press), has essays in numerous books and journals, and is an Associate Professor at John Jay College, City University of New York

Quantum Trio

Polish-Chilean trio founded in 2012 in Rotterdam. The name is not accidental, clearly resonating in the group’s compositions. Component, inseparable and equivalent elements: Micha? Jan Ciesielski (saxophones), Kamil Zawi?lak (piano), Luis Mora Matus (drums). The Quantum Trio was born out of friendship, youthful dreams and musical explorations. Its members met at the conservatory of Codarts Rotterdam – University for the Arts – a university where music from different parts of the world and different cultures meet. This includes the diversity and openness, as well as great lecturers, that attract students from various parts of the world

Erik Borelius

Erik Borelius, guitar-player, singer and composer, has worked professionally with music since 1986. During these 34 years he has released thirteen albums, eleven through his own company and two during his time at EMI. In 1994 Erik received a Swedish Grammy for the album “SexTioTv?” – the best instrumental album in 1993 and the first recorded under Erik’s own label EB Music. The following year he was nominated with the album “Duende”. Erik’s music is often described as a peculiar blend of styles and as a guitar player he is praised for using his outstanding technique in a tasteful manner. In 1984 Erik sent a demo to EMI
