Craig Roselieb

Born:
Craig Roselieb, a 1979 graduate of Downers Grove South High School, completed his Bachelor of Music at Northern Illinois University in Music Education and Saxophone performance in 1984, where he was a 3-year member of the NIU Jazz Ensemble under Ron Modell, and was a winner in the 1983 Concerto Competition on Alto Saxophone as a student of Steve Duke. He earned his Master of Music in Instrumental Conducting from Northwestern University in 1988, where he directed the Symphonic Band and Concert Band under John P. Paynter, and directed Jazz Lab Band and played jazz tenor in the NU Jazz Ensemble with Don Owens. Mr. Roselieb began his teaching career at Glenbrook North High School from 1984-87, continued teaching at Wheaton Central High School from 1988-90, and joined the District 99 music faculty in 1990. He was appointed Director of Bands at Downers Grove South High School in 1994, and retired in May, 2018 after a 33 year career. His responsibilities at DGS included conducting the Wind Ensemble, Marching Mustangs, and Jazz Ensemble, as well as co-directing the Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band and Concert Band.

Joey Calveiro

Joey Calveiro is a 17-year-old musician whose love for the saxophone began at the age of 12. His passion for jazz flourished under the mentorship of Yainer Horta, who played a pivotal role in shaping his musical journey.
Born into a family of musicians, with his grandfather, Fernando Teo Calveiro, as a jazz player, music has always been an integral part of his life. Over the years, Joey has had the honor of collaborating with jazz legends such as Arturo Sandoval, Chucho Valdés, and Gonzalo Rubalcaba. His debut album, Among The Stars, is a deeply personal project dedicated to his grandfather, who not only inspired him but also contributed to the album, composing many of the songs.

Allison Burik

Allison Burik is a saxophonist, clarinetist, improviser, and composer based in Tio'tia:ke/Montreal, Quebec. Their current collaborations include Montreal collective “Bellbird,” experimental duo “Umbrella Pine,” and the “Mali Obomsawin Xtet”. Their debut solo album, Realm, (2024) explores the sonic possibilities of the woodwinds through electronics and contact microphones, resulting in soundscapes that are both earthy and alien. The music for Realm is inspired by mythology, folklore, and world history. They have performed in festivals, residencies, and concerts in places as far reaching as France, South Korea, Canada, and the US

Andy Page

Born:
Andy Page is a New Orleans based woodwind player, composer, and arranger. His primary instrument is the alto saxophone, but he is adept on all saxophones, as well as flute and clarinet. He can be heard playing many styles of music, from pupular to niche, with unwavering fervor and respect for the craft. As a sideman, Andy has toured both nationaly and internationally and has contributed arrangements and compositions to several records. As a leader, he released is debut record in the Jazz idiom in october of 2023 and has also released EP's in the rock and experimental genres under the moniker "Brungo Jowl".

Tevet Sela

Alto saxophonist Tevet Sela brings a wealth and breadth of influences to his playing that few musicians possess. The adept and dexterous post bopper’s music is often drenched in heavy blues, klezmer and Middle-Eastern inflections. His music is full of wisdom, emotion and storytelling.
Tevet started his professional musical career while he was in his teens, frequently performing his original compositions and becoming a sought-after session player. He contributed his unique sound to TV and film soundtracks, and to numerous albums, including the multi-platinum ‘’Idan Raichel Project’’ album.

Andrew Pereira

Andrew Pereira is a saxophonist and composer currently residing in Brooklyn, NY. Originally hailing from the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania, Andrew was first acquainted with the saxophone under the tutelage of his father at the age of 9. His growing obsession with jazz prompted him to study music at Rutgers University, before transferring to Temple University in Philadelphia.
In the years following his studies, Andrew became steeped in the vibrant Philly music scene, learning from the established musicians in town, while developing his creative concept of the saxophone with the young talent present on the scene. During this time, he had the chance to work professionally in a diverse array of genres, from big band engagements that featured artists such as Peter Erskine and Ignacio Berroa, to being a side-man on a wide range of small-group projects. During this time, Andrew was also awarded 2nd place in the North American Saxophone Alliance 2016 jazz competition.

Daryl Gott

Born:
Born and raised in Denver, CO, he began playing the saxophone in fifth grade and developed quickly. Gott studied at Denver School of the Arts, the City College of New York (earning a degree in jazz performance) and later earned a Master’s degree in jazz pedagogy and performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder. A fixture on the Denver music scene during the past decade, Gott can be found playing most nights in the clubs and bars around Denver. He also teaches at the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts and privatley. He has worked with Eric Gunnison, Danny Gottlieb, Ethan Iverson, Jon Gordon, Dick Oatts, Greg Gisbert and Sean Jones plus the top local musicians.
