Jazz Near You cannot import events if the venue name or the city name in your GigPress feed is misspelled or if the venue is not in our database. You can find the venue's proper name by searching for it at Jazz Near You:
Searching for venue names
- Click the magnifying glass in the top right corner of any Jazz Near You page;
- Click the “Directory" tab;
- Start typing, then select from the autocomplete box.
Naming cities
- Incorrect: “New York City"; correct: “New York";
- Borough or neighborhood instead of city. Incorrect: “Brooklyn" or “Greenwich Village"; correct: “New York."
- Foreign spelling: e.g. “Bruxelles" should be “Brussels" (always use the English spelling);
