Album non privo di sottigliezze, di logica, di una visione coerente del dialogo a due voci, ma neppure di frequenti fasi di stanca, ripetitivit�� e modesto appeal emozionale, questo Mountain Song, che vede uno di fronte all'altro due musicisti avvezzi alla libera improvvisazione cos�� come a forme di interazione pi�� definite.

" data-original-title="" title="">Eliot Wadopian fornisce al tutto un clima spesso astratto e cameristico, per esempio in "12 Chatham Road," uno degli episodi migliori del disco, dapprima distillato, quindi pi�� nervoso, frammentato, libero.

Per il resto prevale una sorta di elegante prevedibilit��, avara di reali tratti distintivi, se non proprio quel costante circumnavigare (o rimuginare intorno a) espansioni che evidentemente per un pudore persino eccessivo si lambiscono senza affrontarle quasi mai di petto.

Strada facendo finisce cos�� per prevalere una sorta di fredda accettazione di uno status quo che lascia per certi versi ammirati, ma per altri genera neanche troppo avanti con l'ascolto chiari segnali di noia solo qua e l�� rotti da qualche passaggio degno di nota (diversi ne offre "Speficic Gravity," in possesso di un certo spessore intimistico).

Un disco, insomma, anche apprezzabile, ma lungo il quale accade un po' troppo poco.
