Sliders is an unusual and surprising musical formation, with no precedent in the history of jazz: a trombone trio founded in 2018 by Filippo Vignato, Federico Pierantoni and Lorenzo Manfredini, three of the most interesting and acclaimed trombonists of the new European jazz generation. The trio dismantles the traditional setups of classical ensembles, such as brass quintets or trombone quartets, to arrive at the essence through a stripped-down architecture of just three instruments �� like the three notes of a major triad.

The trombone, often considered the instrument closest to the human voice, with its infinite musical, tonal and expressive possibilities, is here explored by the three artists in continuous experimentation that embraces blues, folk and contemporary music. A miniature orchestra, gleaming like the brass of their instruments, capable of whispering, roaring, surprising, and �� why not �� moving the listener.

The 'Sliders in Japan' tour is organized by Metrotime Societ�� Cooperativa with the support of MiC and SIAE, within the framework of the ��Per Chi Crea�� program, in collaboration with Shalestone Music.
