Aprono e chiudono il CD alcuni versi in giapponese, che immediatamente offrono una nuova prospettiva d'ascolto rispetto all'originale The Wall del 1979.
Nel tentativo riuscitissimo di destrutturare l'opera di Roger Waters e Co. -e in qualche modo riscrivere l'originale-la Re-evolution band non nasconde di voler utilizzare strategie e procedure di accumulo musicale care all'estetica dei Naked City di

La brevit�� delle tracce, la visionaria unit�� dell'intero album, la sintetica elencazione antologica di elementi eterogenei (per certi versi distanti tra loro), la forza dirompente data da sferzate di suono speed metal/hardcore/freejazz e la voce gravemente urlata in "The Trial" -come faceva Yamatsuka Eye nel gruppo zorniano-inducono a credere che ci siano molte affinit�� con il quintetto newyorkese.
Questi rimandi contribuiscono a dare al progetto un tocco di originalit�� rispetto al panorama jazzistico e parajazzistico italiano.

Data la mole di riferimenti, The Drak Side of the Wall.1970-2013 �� un disco che potrebbe interessare non solo agli appassionati di certa musica collagistica, ma anche agli amanti del cosiddetto crossover e sicuramente ai fans dei Pink Floyd e di Roger Waters.
